Biophilia is een serie werken waarin Adinda onze relatie ten opzichte van de natuur onderzoekt. Hoe kunnen we meer empathie voelen voor onze aarde en voor de dingen die gevoelsmatig ver van ons af staan?

Breathe is onderdeel van deze serie. Dit bijna meditatieve werk probeert op een interactieve manier emoties op te roepen. Het werk is een reactie op de snelheid waarin we leven en het gemis aan gelegenheid om stil te staan bij het kleine dat ons verwondert.

Door zachtjes op het ‘ballonnetje’ te drukken ontstaat er een tedere, subtiele, hypnotische beweging, alsof het object een levend organisme is.

Biophilia is a series of works in which Studio Adinda examines our understanding of nature. How can we connect better with our earth and with those aspects of nature that sometimes appear so far removed from ourselves?

Breathe is part of this series. This meditative project attempts to evoke emotion through interaction. The work is a reaction on the tempo with which speed through our lives and the lack of opportunity to take a moment for the small and awe-inspiring.

By pushing gently on the ‘balloon’, a tender, subtle, hypnotic movement arises. Object becomes organism.
